1. TENDER ASSESSMENT & FEES


Within 24 hours of receiving the tender package, I review and confirm whether it can be processed within the available timeframe. Fees are charged at my current hourly rate, or a fixed price can be agreed if preferred. Please note that direct costs such as printing, stationery, and travel will be charged separately.

2. SUPPLY CHAIN SCHEDULE


I compile a schedule of subcontract trades and suppliers for each tender, presented in an enquiries tracker, allowing you to add details of your preferred subcontractors / suppliers.

3. SUBCONTRACT PACKAGES


I prepare subcontractor and supplier packages for issue to your supply chain, including take-offs and builders’ quantities where required.

4. SITE VISIT


I carry out a site visit and produce a full photographic record for reference, supporting both subcontractors and your internal bid team.

5. TENDER PRICING


I prepare a detailed tender analysis in a standardised Excel format for clarity and ease of adjustment at tender settlement. This includes:

​

  • Summary of all client contingency, provisional sums, PC sums, and dayworks.

  • Summary of proposed MC provisional sums.

  • Fully priced general and project-specific preliminaries.

  • Measured and priced schedule of works not covered elsewhere.

  • Subcontractor price schedules by trade, with quote analysis where applicable.

  • Supplier price schedules with analysis, where applicable.

  • Allowances for notional items (e.g, BWIC).

  • OHP allowance for adjustment at settlement.

  • Risk and inflation allowances for adjustment at settlement.
     

A schedule of qualifications and clarifications to support risk management during settlement.
 

6. TENDER SUBMISSION PRICING DOCUMENT

I produce a draft tender submission pricing document, all set for completion and adjustment at tender settlement.

 

7. CODE OF ESTIMATING PRACTICE
